A 2017 Georgie Award Winner

This renovation was a 2017 Georgie Award Winner (Best Residential Renovation: $300,000 – $499,999). The house underwent a full exterior/interior transformation from an outdated, 30-year-old, vinyl sided, subdivision home into a modern, elegant and functional home. The home now has charming curb appeal with new rock and ‘hardy’ siding, and a completely reconfigured main floor; the homeowner no longer has to leave the area they love. The expanded kitchen is now the hub of the home with sleek white cabinetry and a ruby-red back-painted glass back splash — the touch of bordeaux. With the kitchen’s new 9-foot central island and open dining area, the space comfortably seats 14. The kitchen and dining area open to the updated outdoor living & landscape, equipped with a barbecue area that allows for year-round grilling.

As part of this project, we changed the kitchen and dining room configuration, claiming some under-used space and removing an old island so the dining room could expand and we could add full-length glass doors from the dining room onto a new, large patio and outdoor space. A hot tub was removed, allowing creation of a patio which was more in line with the owners’ tastes and lifestyle. New windows and architectural detail were added to the home’s exterior, as well as new regal lighting, to give the home a more sophisticated look.

In the powder room, new dark cabinets, wall coverings and modern fixtures brought the look up to date with mature luxury.

Living room, too, was updated with a new bright fireplace and contemporary pieces.
