Something Blue

This renovation project focused on preserving the solid bones and timeless character of the home while bringing it into the modern world. Our goal was to enhance the space without losing its original charm, creating a balance between modern elegance and classic appeal.

Back to all Renovations

The living room, with its charming structure, was transformed with a fresh coat of crisp white paint throughout the home. The fireplace, once dated, was refaced to create a more contemporary look, while still honoring the original design. Beneath the fireplace, custom storage was added to showcase the homeowners’ cherished keepsakes, marrying both form and function.

The kitchen was completely revitalized, with a focus on improving both the flow and functionality of the space. The island was repositioned to optimize the layout, and a sleek wine fridge was incorporated for added convenience.

We updated the cabinetry with clean, white finishes and complemented them with fresh, crisp countertops. A showstopping range hood became the focal point of the space, providing a modern touch to an otherwise classic kitchen.

The second fireplace was also given a modern update with a new face, blending seamlessly into the newly refreshed space. More open and closed storage options were incorporated around the fireplace, offering both style and practicality for the family’s needs.

Rich, brown hardwood flooring was chosen to run throughout the home, providing a continuous flow and cohesive feel from room to room. The flooring adds warmth and elegance, making the space feel inviting and connected.

The laundry room was completely reimagined to be a more functional and organized space. Clever storage solutions were implemented to ensure the area is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.

The bathroom went from dull and dated to serene and spa-like. Outdated tiles were replaced with luxurious, modern materials, creating a calm and soothing atmosphere.

A freestanding tub became the centerpiece of the space, complemented by a sleek glass shower, double vanity, and ample storage. This transformation turned a once dreary space into a stunning retreat.
