The My House Design/Build/Team was thrilled to take on this project, which included renovating two bathrooms.
The family loved their home, but wanted some updates, including a double-sink bathroom for their two growing daughters. They also wanted an updated kitchen and better flow to the backyard outdoor space. You can see those photos here.
Though the family had thought of renovating a few years previous, they waited until the two girls were a bit older. Everyone benefited from taking part in the guided My House Discovery Process, which allowed the family to look at different style options to determine what best suited their lifestyle, goals, and budget.
Port Moody Bathroom Renovation: Improved Storage, Brighter Look
In addition to the refresh in the girls bathroom, the ensuite bathroom was given a fresh look. The ensuite was redone with large format, marble-like porcelain tiles, frameless glass shower surround, and an easy-to-clean shower base.
The ensuite renovation also included a high contrast pony wall cap and niche back, antibacterial quartz countertops, and new storage that utilizes an awkward corner. The high-contrast interior brightens up morning routines.
Improving Energy Efficiency a Priority
As part of this Port Moody renovation, our team used many energy-efficient upgrades. The My House team followed a holistic approach, building a whole house system to best suit the client needs and budget. Where possible, we separated and recycled building materials. Doors, ducts, cabinets were donated to other families. As with all My House Design/Build renovations, a 2-5-10 year in-house warranty was included.
